Uncle Earnie’s BBQ and Catering’s commitment to top quality BBQ began in Memphis, TN. In the late 80's, founders John Earnest and Michelle Morar began cutting their teeth in Memphis BBQ competitions. At first, Earnie and Michelle weren’t even allowed to cook official BBQ at the contests. The Memphis locals didn’t think any “Yankees” would be able to cook real BBQ. However, the Uncle Earnie’s team quickly made a name from themselves on the Memphis scene, earning several awards for their BBQ in the process.

 

Although Uncle Earnie’s BBQ and Catering’s award-winning flavors were perfected in Memphis, TN, they call eastern Nebraska home. Since 1995, the team has been serving up mouth-watering BBQ at local contests and events throughout the greater Omaha area. Voted best BBQ six years in a row, Uncle Earnie’s BBQ and Catering can be found at such local staples as ‘Taste of Omaha,’ the ‘Fourth of July Memorial Park Concert,’ and the 'Nebraska Wine & Balloon Festival.’

 

In 2015, our hearts broke when John Earnest unexpectedly passed away; however, Michelle, and Uncle Earnie’s BBQ and Catering is committed to continuing the legacy of offering up top-tier BBQ and service.
